Compatibility blood test
Dental toxicity can occur when materials placed in a patient’s mouth cause that person’s immune system to react and “reject” the restoration since the components are never accepted in the same manner as one’s own tissues. This is probably one of the primary concerns facing dental patients today. With several thousand dental restoration materials available on the market, it is important to know how vigorously or minimally these materials will react with the body’s immune system.
The Bio-Compatibility test is a blood test, its purpose is to find dental materials that are least reactive to a patient’s body chemistry. The reality is that some materials traditionally considered to be least reactive may actually be reactive to some patient’s immune systems, thus the purpose of the test.
The test uses a blood serum sample taken from an individual patient and mixes that sample with chemical found in dental materials. The protein fallout reactions is then scanned using a optical light densitometer to determine the degree of reactivity. That data is then sent into a computer where it builds the Bio-Compatibility report.

Blood test and hair analysis to evaluate present health status
Blood Test Blood tests are very common. When you have routine checkups, your doctor may recommend blood tests to see how your body is working. Many blood tests don’t require any special preparations. For some, you may need to fast (not eat any food) for 8 to 12 hours before the test. Your doctor will let you know how to prepare for blood tests.
During a blood test, a small sample of blood is taken from your body. It’s usually drawn from a vein in your arm using a needle. A finger prick also might be used. The procedure usually is quick and easy, although it may cause some short-term discomfort. Most people don’t have serious reactions to having blood drawn. Laboratory (lab) workers draw the blood and analyze it. They use either whole blood to count blood cells, or they separate the blood cells from the fluid that contains them. This fluid is called plasma or serum. The fluid is used to measure different substances in the blood.
The results can help detect health problems in early stages, when treatments or lifestyle changes may work best. Doctors can’t diagnose many diseases and medical problems with blood tests alone. Your doctor may consider other factors to confirm a diagnosis. These factors can include your signs and symptoms, your medical history, your vital signs (blood pressure, breathing, pulse, and temperature), and results from other tests and procedures.
Hair Analysis:
Hair Analysis Hair analysis may refer to the chemical analysis of a hair sample, but can also refers to microscopic analysis or comparison. Chemical hair analysis may be considered for retrospective purposes when blood and urine are no longer expected to contain a particular contaminant, typically a year or less. Its most widely accepted use is in the fields of forensic toxicology and, increasingly, environmental toxicology. Several alternative medicine fields also use various hair analyses for environmental toxicology but these uses are controversial, evolving and not standardized.
Hair analysis can refer to the forensic technique of assessing a number of different characteristics of hairs, usually consisting of hairs from “known” sources and those recovered during forensic examinations or “questioned” hairs in order to determine whether they have a common source; for example, comparing hair found at the scene of the crime with hair samples taken from a suspect. Typically, examinations of this type are conducted using stereo-microscope(s) for initial preparation, and a comparison microscope for detailed analysis (comparison).
Besides the bio-compatibility test, for all the patients that doesn’t have the option to perform the test on time or all those emergency cases, our patients can be sure that they will be have safe materials in their mouths, since we use dental materials free of bisphenol A.
